The majority of the metal parts of the machine
will be constructed from aluminum stock. The
material can either be purchased from suppliers
cut to individual lengths that are needed, or can
be ordered in bulk. A miter saw, equipped with a
blade designed specifically for non-ferrous metal,
can be used if cutting individual pieces from
longer lengths of bulk stock. All metal cuts can
also be made with a hand-held hacksaw,
although this method will be more time
consuming.
